In Friday's edit in DB by Prakash Shah (1o Oct.,'08),I again came across such words as 'Pichvaai', 'ubardwar' and 'dilkhulas'...
The well-known journalistic use of 'garamayo/vo', 'fima(v)yo' come to mind.

We've many in English such as 'glitterati,'chatterati,'causerati'(je koi cause/issue aave ne seedha pressman nivedan aapva dhasi janara!)etc.
('intellectuals/activist' or 'politically correct' varieties) but that belong to a different genre than 'shabdaprakash'.Recently, words starting with eco(ecological) and E/e-(e-mail, e-governance)have enriched the lexicon and reflected the growing impact of environmental awareness and electronic communications.

Many words have morphed into Gujarati from such English words, as well.(Purist may not welcome this trend, though). And in Diasporic community in England,America Gujarati words/phrazes are flavored/linked/polluted by English words or a curious usage that evolves as whar Adam Tankarvi calls,'GujLish' or as some in light tone, say EnGujji.(Hinglish, Chinglish language or Singlish of Singapore are class by themselves.Rather there are more Hinglish-speakig people than the authentic British English speaking people in the world,Says a British linguist scholr d Camberidge Uni.)As such, in spite of cultural 'imperialism' of Americans n other field of public culture, those who speak American English(spelling, accent, etc.) are far less in number than those who speak other forms of English(in the erstwhile British colonies like india, Canada, Australia, Pakistan,Malaysia,etc.).
